Abstract:

The present study was conducted to introduce and review the book titled "Rotifers: Aquaculture, Ecology, Gerontology, and Ecotoxicology". This book shows the latest advances in rotifers studies in various fields, including aquaculture, ecology, gerontology, and ecotoxicology. In the book, various subjects has been studied, including speciation in the Brachionus plicatilis species complex, mass culture, enrichment of rotifers, use of rotifers for larval rearing of marine fishes, history life, use of rotifers to explore the ecological impacts of toxic substances and the role of rotifers in ecotoxicology. Due to the author's efforts to provide a complete reference of rotifers, we suggest that this book be used as a reference in universities and research institutes. The book is intended to respond the scientific needs of students and researchers in the fields of fisheries, aquaculture and ecotoxicology, due to the excellent study of various aspects of rotifers.
